VOICE OF SUPPORT FROM THE PRESIDENT OF REPUBLIC OF SERBIA

BDW’s creative team received yet another seal of approval: personal support of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolić, to the Belgrade Design Week and to the project “Creative Serbia 2014-2020”. The President expressed his confidence in the future of our project and pointed out its great relevance in the promotion of our country and the development of knowledge society as the ultimate value we strive for.

“I hereby express my full support for your project: “Creative Serbia 2014-2020” as an important venture which contributes to a better reputation of Serbia, globally, and a more positive outlook towards our capabilities.
In addition, I gladly accept the patronage of the “Belgrade Design Week” event, which will be held in our capital this year, for the ninth time in a row, and which in the course of the past eight years has inscribed Belgrade’s name on the European and world map of creative centers.

Both projects greatly contribute to the positive image of Serbia in the world, and promoting creative industries is a great opportunity for the growth of our country’s economy. These projects are also valuable for the development of our contemporary culture and for establishing a system of values, especially for the young generation, because they promote creativity and society of knowledge as the ultimate values.

Expressing my confidence that your ideas will find support from all those who can help their implementation, I wish you success in your activities and in showing Serbian potential to the world.“ reads the President’s letter.

OUR BLOG

BDW was a wonderfully rewarding experience. I think the mix that made it work so well was a tangible passion for design realized in the most relaxed and friendly atmosphere that I have come across for any event like this – truly inspirational, long may it thrive.   As for what is a smart, forging partnerships and working with like minded designers and clients always seems a pretty smart and rewarding way to go about design and I have a very good feeling that BDW will be the catalyst for many such collaborations.
