PostlerFerguson was founded in 2007 by designers Martin Postler and Ian Ferguson. The studio works on products, spaces and design strategy for clients, using its expertise in design and technology to solve problems. Each individual project is researched and viewed in its broadest context to maximize potential. The resulting solutions always combine an immediate sensory appeal with an underlying conceptual nuance.

They work with extensive network of designers, filmmakers, artists and manufacturers to meet their client’s needs. Some of their clients are: BBC Worldwide, British Council, Designa, Ecsite – European Network of Science Centres and Museums, Future Laboratory, Goods of Desire, Loewe, MIT – Massachusesets Institute of Technology, Melanie Georgacopoulos, Me&City, LG, Molekule, Nike, NudeAudio, Puzhen Life Corporation and Victoria & Albert Museum.

The approach is collaborative and multidisciplinary: a small team of in-house professionals with an excellent international network. Experience and knowledge of manufacturing and production allows the whole ecosystem of a product to be managed, from initial concepts, materials and processes to impeccable finish.

Martin Postler studied Industrial Design at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design. He worked in the design industry for a year before joining the Design Products course at the Royal College of Art, London. He graduated in 2007 after studying under Shona Kitchen, Noam Toran and Ron Arad in London and at the Kyoto University of Arts in Japan.

Martin has worked at diverse design agencies in Hamburg, Hong Kong and London for clients including Boeing, Lufthansa, Airbus, Nokia and Deutsche Telekom and he has received numerous awards including the Raymond Loewy Foundation Award, Red Dot, IF Design, D&AD and Invent Scholarship from the German Ministry of Education.

Ian Ferguson studied Architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
