We are MADA

We are an experiment-driven studio that encourages ideas to move seamlessly between analogue and digital worlds. We are open to change and ready to explore new territories – positive benefits of moving out of one’s comfort zone. We embrace exchange of roles with our clients and therefore offset mutual interests and incentives.

Intensive research allows us to be reactive, and challenging our designs keeps the work fresh and inspiring. By intentionally remaining small, our efforts on each project are larger. When required, our team fuels up with creative inputs from our extensive network of professionals from various fields to ensure the right fit for each project.

We highly value attention to detail and argumentative thought and apply both from the conceptual stages to the delivery or launch of the individual project. We want to work at ease and have fun, believing that our most intelligent and beautiful works are ahead.

We have worked on array on projects ranging in scale from the Venice Biennale to a huge school complex in Belgrade. Our work has received recognitions and awards including the Ranko Radović Award, the Amiri Diwan Prize and the BASE2 Prize, and has been published around the globe.

We are Andonov Nikola, Dragić Milan, Lazarević Olga, Ristović Aleksandar and Stojanović Stefan. We are happy to share our workplace with EDIT and Studio Now – it has become a workshop and has forever stopped being an office.

During the 10 year history of Normann Copenhagen, we have learned that passion for design and architecture is strongly connected to people and not places. Coming from a part of the world where DESIGN is almost part of your DNA and every household has a selection of Design Classics, does not guarantee that passion is found.   When coming to Belgrade for the BDW 2009 we found a dedication and passion at the highest level. We can only be jealous that such events, created with passion and real interest to push the viewers and visitors to the next level are not more commonly found in Denmark. That again is a tribute to the great efforts found behind BDW and we hope to be part of your events in the years to come.
