Designers United was an award winning, multidisciplinary design firm focused in brand identity development, creative direction, and interaction based in Thessaloniki, Greece. The company had been creating integrated design solutions for a diverse range of international clients across various industries, scales and budgets. Their work encompassed creative direction, branding and identity systems, book and magazine design, web design and development, illustration, print collateral and social-media/public-relations needs. Since inception in 2005, Designers United quickly gained an enviable reputation for their distinctive style and design excellence and received numerous awards and distinctions in Greece and abroad and thus recognition from peers and other industry bodies.
Semiotik Design studio was founded in 2014 by Dimitris Koliadimas, who was previously co–founder and creative director of Designers United. Since 2005, Dimitris and his team have collaborated with exceptional individuals, great organizations, small start-ups and large multinational brands around the world, providing a wide range of design and consulting services, performing in complex environments and achieving remarkable results. Studio’s work has been awarded numerous national and international distinctions, including D&AD, Red Dot Design Awards, Pentawards and European Design Awards.
Dimitris Papazoglou is an award—winning, multidisciplinary Designer and Creative Director based in Thessaloniki, Greece. He values the deafening, yet silent power of creating bespoke solutions that balance the desire to connect on an emotional level with the absolute need for direct, strategic and effective communication. During the past 15 years he has been creating unique integrated design solutions for a diverse palette of international clients across various industries, scales and budgets.
His field of expertise encompasses creative direction, branding and identity systems, book and magazine design, illustration, typography and type design, both for print as well as digital mediums. But he also enjoys being a key player in larger creative teams, collaborating with art directors at other agencies, assisting them by adding his experience, expertise and passion as tools into their projects.
Religiously following Gropius’ manifesto, design is to him the will of an epoch translated into an visual language. One that loves the architectural non-colors (black and white), where form not only follows function, but life: by believing in beauty and intelligence equally. Where sensual purity defines and distinctively signatures the new luxury.
No wonder his favourite form is that of the spiral: not only a symbol of the dialectic process, but also of the bipolarity of infinite motion and balance, emotion and intelligence.
