REGIONAL YOUNG DESIGNERS
Regional young designers will present their works in project 100% FUTURE SERBIA. This BDW’s segment is devoted to the promotion of young creatives exhibited for the first time and established authors who want to exhibit for the first time in shop windows all over the city center. The main idea is to transfer classical museum exhibitions to the streets of the city and to present them to a wider general audience, not only to those who regularly visit galleries and exhibitions. The exhibition will show authors who present their works as livesize objects and models. Visitors and passers-by have a rare opportunity to see the exhibited works during an easy stroll from Kalemegdan to Slavia, while also discovering interesting new locations presenting fresh Serbian design jewels all over the town, following a printed special map which is widely distributed. With the 100% FUTURE SERBIA project, Belgrade Design Week supports strongly the local design scene, while by positioning the artefacts in Belgrade’s shop windows, we support Belgrade’s retail and horeca in times of crisis, focusing for one week the attention of media, institutions and the general public to all segments of the creative industries. One best candidate will be awarded with a full scholarship for a summer course at the Domus Academy in Milan!

B.D.W. is "Being with your whole creative self in WONDERLAND". Getting out of the line (box), navigating into the world of sensation and intellect, showing curiosity and sharing knowledge, living in clear and vague situations, bringing Art & design to talk to each other, loving, touching, eating, growing, expecting the unexpected and yet always being surprised, never accepting what was planned a month earlier. And people, interesting people, creative people, wonderful, open-minded people, beautiful people, people who think DESIGN IS A WAY OF THINKING. All of this is true. I was lucky to be there and loved it.
