Cooperation with the Russian Creativity Week
“Russian Creativity Week” is the first Russian international festival of the entire creative industries, showcasing the power of creativity that allows us to solve the most complex problems of our time, and achieve positive changes in people’s lives.
The mission of RCW is the formation of self-identity of the Russian creative industries, fostering the economic potential of the Russian creative community.
The festival will be held in Moscow on September 11-13 in 14 specially designed lecture halls inside the Gorky Park, with a rich accompanying events program. In the same time, special introductory events will take place in Russian Federation regions from September 7-10, as part of the first “Russian Creativity Week”.
The program will be tailor-made by curators to confirm to goals and specifics important for the development of creative industries in each respective region.
Brand New World branding consultancy from Zurich was commissioned to create the visual identity of the Russian Creativity Week – as single-entry point for all target audiences – united by the idea of Russian creative development. Founder of the Belgrade Design Week and Brand New World, Jovan Jelovac, created an in-depth analysis how to best combine Moscow and the Russian regions, while at the same time communicating a strongly Russian message to the world, inviting the global creative community to participate in the event as much as the local Russian creative and business communities.
Jelovac’s solution was to combine the ingenious modern handwriting of a contemporary Muscovite author, architect Plotkin, whom BNW commissioned to design the 14 creative industries pavilions inside Gorky Park, with the authentic typographic excellence designed by two other Russian geniuses – Nikita Kanarev from the Altai, and Denis Serebryakov from Minsk.
The result speaks for itself – in Brand New World’s new identity for the Russian Creative Week, Moscow is kissing the regions, and Russia is kissing the world – in an act of ultimate love and creative expression.
Brand New World communicated the new visual identity of Russian Creativity Week through all tools: brochures, advertisements, proprietary logo and typography, promo-tools, creation of proprietary app and website. Brand New World designed a unique partner’s brochure to present the main future achievements of RCW and partnerships models.
Jovan Jelovac participated online in the first RCW press conference in Moscow on August 25th 2020.
